«The EDHEC Sailing Cup is an outstanding student event. But most of all, it is a beautiful regatta. The competition will take place in 2012 in the straits of La Rochelle, a stretch of water I am very familiar with for having sailed there on sailing dinghy a few years ago and more recently on the new Imoca Macif. I am sure the participants will compete hard to win the races, offering us a show full of turnarounds, surfing and sliding, some nice regatta indeed! 

But the EDHEC Sailing Cup is more than that... It is also a Land Trophy and a Sand Trophy. Two different sporting events on land this time, which will indubitably offer us impressive sporting shows once more.

I am pleased to be associated to such an amazing event, true mirror of the dynamism, the energy and the enthusiasm of today's student!
